In 7 Tips for Cheaper Road Trips
Yes, we always use tip 3. We take a lot of food with us: wraps, boiled eggs, fruits, string cheese, some cookies, water and hot chocolate in a termos. Works wonders. We can drive 4-5 hours straight with only one stop for the restrooms and cas fill up.
We also kind of used tip7, we stoped overnights at our friends houses on the way. This is really great, you get to see your far away frinds and save on hotel. But do not forget to bring presents for friends!
In Birthday on a Budget
Good party activity for kids is to make a play. You can make paper masks for charscters and then reherse as an activity and present the play at the end for parents. It can be very simple play depending of number of kids: Red riding Hood, Snow White, Tree pigs, etc. Kids love it and it does not cost anything.
