The olive oil will not give you the volume that you're looking for. It's more of a sleek result - but very healthy looking (I do recommend washing twice). I have fine hair, and one of my favorite products for adding volume is Physique Amplifying Spray. I spray it on after towel drying my hair and blow dry upside down. I've always been happy with the results.
