Thanks for this post! I would also add, when you are making the first appointment, to make sure to ask what their policy is on letting a parent in during the visit. some pedi dentist offices have a strict policy that parents must wait in the waiting room. I feel like there is no way I'm going to let my 3 yr old have a procedure done without me there. So I called around and found a family dentist with a much more lenient policy.
