I would use the same advices that I posted even though he is an adult, starting by asking him why he is so afraid of flying. It looks like he is really afraid of something happening to the children and you. Does it let you drive alone or alone with the children? Statistics show that highways are more dangerous than the sky, so he should really put things in perspective and let you fly alone or alone with the children.
Get him the Shrink On Board cds and dvds for the flight, they are mentionned at the end of the post.
Finally, I often realize that if I am going to have a bad day for whatever reason, I do not have to share it with everybody (and I ask the same to my children). You may tell him the same if nothing else works: he could have a good flight or a bad flight. If he decide to have a bad flight, he does not have to share it with the others.

In Benefits of Tea Tree Shampoo
I second the comment about lice. My youngest one got lice and I started using tea tree shampoo and conditioner for the rest of the family. None of us got infected. Once the little one was lice-free, I shampooed her with tea tree shampoo and they never came back.
