We have a 50 Acre Farm(Plafkin Farms, View on Photobucket.com and Webshots.com) located between Ada and Cascade, Michigan--5 miles from the Gerald R. Ford airport--12 miles from Grand Rapids. We have been on this land close to 50 years. We have woods, water, wetlands, and an abundance of wild life. Our goal is to keep this land open and in its natural state by being creative in order to provide an income from using the farm. We have done some motion picture filming here in order to supplement our income, and we would like to do more. Also we have kept horses over the years for industries and individuals. This was a dairy farm when we moved here, and I thought that there might be an opportunity to have milking goats and cattle here again. My family has always been in the 'Surplus Business which covered a lot of territory, and a multitude of items. We have been on our land close to 50 years. We try to promote filming, photography, art, music, equestrian. I play the clarinet and saxophone, so music is very important to me. With the high price of gasoline, we hope that our location will become more useful to the surrounding areas. We have also considered camping for families, as well as incorporating music along with camping. We have also had a dance pavilion between Wayland and Bradley, Michigan.
