Comments In Get Rid of Ants My mom used to use cucumber peels when we were kids. She'd put a couple of peels any place the ants were coming in and they'd stay away. The grits technique is obviously better for a permanent solution so I'm going to try that as well but if you are in a pinch and you've got a cucumber in the refrigerator... :)
In Take Out Menu Binder I found that the hole punch isn't great for some menus so we use sheet protectors to put the menus in (the 3 ring, clear, plastic "envelopes" that are meant to have pages slide into). This also makes it so that all of the menus are on pages of the same size so it's a bit easier to find those narrow menus that tend to hide among the others.
I do the same thing with my home-made cookbook with all the recipes I've collected over the years. Even if the page is a full size sheet, I put it in a sheet protector. Then I just take a page out of the book when I'm making that recipe and, if something spills, I just wipe off the sheet protector and all's well.
In Take Your Kids Out to the Ball Game Agreed! We've done this the last two years and it's great...although you might not get to see too much baseball if the kids are toddlers wanting to go down the big slide again.
We actually go with a bunch of people that I work with. We buy 2 sets of 10 tickets ($12.50 per ticket) and each ticket includes a hotdog (or pizza if you are veg.), a drink, a program, and an ice cream, and the seats are almost behind home plate.
Oh, and kids 3 and under don't require a seat/ticket...although we got one just for the extra space.
