 Tips  Comments In Melatonin and Sleep I recently started using melatonin with 3 year old ( my pediatircain recommended it). I give her 1.5 mg 1/2 hour before bed time and she is falls asleep easily and wakes up rested.
Before that it was a battle every night. We elimitated naps and she still would not fall asleep until 10-11 at night ( we put her to bed at 8). She would have a very difficult time waking up inthe morning. The Doctor recommended using it for a few weeks to see if it would reset her system. I am really not looking forward to taking her off the melatonin.
