We left for South America thinking we were too tired to tango and had left our adventure travel days behind. Six years of afternoon tangos, trekking with pre-tweens, and urban explorations across the continent taught me that kids+travel=adventure. In line with the adage write about what you know, I expanded my writing to include fancy travel pieces, tips on hiking with kids, and just fun shorts on adventures with toddlers, gradeschools, tweens and teen. I have returned to a more conventional life in Northern Virginia as a writer, advocate, boss, and employees. "Adventure Mom" lets me keeps me looking for adventures locally and abroad whether out of town, out of state, or out of the country.
