Comments In How To Freeze Bread ~ Frugal Tips & Tricks In... I've also frozen bread for years and not had a problem. howevre, I DO use a straw to suck out extra air that contributes to freezer burn etc., and have not had a problem. note that ziploc or glad hs come out with a specialty baggie and mini-vacuum to draw air out of the bags the expensive way. Just do it with a straw from any baggie....
In Victoria's Secret Policy Change-Customer Lose... Great tip. I generally knew Target had a policy like that , but not VS, and i shop there sometimes. Another reason to save slips is for warranty reasons, for anything like a kitchen appliance or electronic etc. you have to photocopy those ones on thermal paper, as they fade or 'die' in a very short time. if you leave them in a purse. it might be another scam going....you have no receipt to prove the purchase because the slip has faded out. copy anything off those thermal receipts and tape it into the owners manual or a warranty file....
In Already Looking for a Summer Camp? I research carefully camps my kids go to. you should also look carefully at or google the camp along with the word 'reviews' to see what other parents thought. This site did not have a place i saw to leave or read reviews. Parents should cross check with the Better Business Bureau, and the ACA, which accredits camps too. We had a horrible experience with the 4-H Camp Marshall in Spencer MA summer 2008. They advertised 1 hour in the saddle horseback riding lessons, and we paid extra for overnight and horse camp. My daughter got 4 days only, of (2) 30 minutes and (2)15 minute lessons, and 2-3 hours of barn chores. we were seriously mislead and the program did nothing about it, nor were responsive to our concerns. Parents need to know some of the websites that amass information may not have the whole story!
In Another Use for Cookie Cutters I use cookie cutters for decorating the tops of pie's! take the left over dough scraps and roll them thin, cut with the seasonal cookie cutter and use milk to apply to the top of your apple, blueberry, peach or other pie with a top crust! for fall i use leaves and acorn cutters, halloween- ghosts and bats, Thanksgiving, turkey's, etc...sometimes i use hearts, flowers, stars, gingerbread men, and especially the ones that have assorted sizes....Enjoy!
In A Must for Apple Recipes I have used the suction based apple-corer/peeler for years and love it as well. There is a great knock of for $6.99 sold at the Christmas tree shop every fall that is really great if you can't afford Williams-Sonoma, and the co back-to-basics makes a great one also!
I can do apples for pie in under 5 minutes! LM
