Comments In How to Live Self-sustainably Fantastic site! I want to be this woman.
In Origami Creations This is a great way to learn. My daughter was able to stop, start, and rewind the video so she could move through the instructions at her own pace.
Kick off interest in this wonderful art with a visit to the exhibit that hosts this site - the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA!
In Sneaking in Exercise How about turning the media off and kicking your kids outside to play? Kids have been doing it for thousands of years in all kinds of weather, and found active ways to entertain themselves.
Rather than invest in video games, I'd get a fence around the yard for youngsters, or a soccer ball for the older ones & throw the TV out!
In Tips for Keeping Costs Under Control Kids' Clothes:
Don't forget that the best way to save is to get them for free! I do not have relatives with kids the right age or gender to get hand-me-downs, but have found families at our church who are happy to pass on gently used clothes for my girls. Both love it when the big plastic bin comes out of the attic and they get to try on "new" outfits. I rarely have to buy any clothes beyond socks and underwear, and I've totally avoided the hassle of bringing kids to the store, or making returns for items that don't fit!
