I have a very active 3 year old. And recently, as we were leaving a crowded museum, he zigged while we zagged and he got lost for a few terrifying minutes. Imagine an entire museum emptying at closing time, and your three-year-old is suddenly unaccounted for. Adreniline Rush as you look every which way.....where the heck is he......
The good thing is, we found him. He had zigged over to the gift shop one last time. The better thing is, that to avoid it ever happening again we found this very cool child locator device that he loves wearing and makes me feel just a little more in control if he gets out of my sight again.
It's basically a little plastic teddy bear (choice of pink or brown) that attaches to the top of your child's shoe or belt. Mom or Dad carries the transmitter piece, which sends a signal and makes a lound chirping sound audible for up to 150 feet.
Anyway everyone, including my son feels safer wearing it when we are in a large crowd. (He definitely didn't enjoy those few minutes of being lost either).
Every little bit helps!
