My eight year old daughter LOVES her Lego sets.  They are not only for boys!  They have wonderful fairy-tale castles on offer at the moment.  The range does change from time to time but any Lego you buy will last for ages and keep your child occupied for ages too.  A wonderful toy that promotes fine motor co-ords and 3-D construction abilities.
