I saw this on Today Show this morning. Kiva Loans is an organization which loans $25 to entreprenaurs in developing countries. The borrowers are living in indescribable poverty that we can hardly even comprehend. The money comes mostly from women and goes mostly to women, and is administered by a local bank. When the borrower pays back the bank, the bank pays you back, but the bank keeps the interest. 98% of the money eventually gets paid back. Check out the website.
