Sibshops is a sibling support organization for the siblings of children with physical, neurological or emotional special needs. The Sibshops are geared toward certain ages--they have one for ages 8 to 12, one for younger kids and one for teens. They are part playgroup, part therapy/support group. My kids love to go, and have even voluntarily missed birthday parties and other special events to go to Sibshop. They are all different, but the ones in our area are usually from 10 am to 2 pm and always include a kid-friendly lunch, a craft, a few games just for fun and a few games meant to support/educate/discuss living with a sibling who has a disability. They usually meet about once a month. My kids just benefit from knowing they are not the only ones who have a sibling with a disability. The leaders are friendly, knowledgable, and kind.
