If your family is like mine you have a whole summer's worth of sea shells collected throughout the house! Put those summertime treasures to work with a little Elmers glue and a bit of creativity! We made beautiful bathroom wall art out of sand, sea shells (clam shells and sand dollars worked best) and cheap frames from Ikea. Here's what you do: Remove the glass from frame but leave the backing in place. Paint Elmers glue all over the backing and cover with spoonfuls of sand. You may want to do all this over a cookie sheet to minimize the mess. While glue is still drying, add glue to edges of desired sea shells and push into wet sand/ glue mixture. Allow to dry, then check for bare patches in what is now the sand background. Add supplementary glue and sand. Let dry and hang!
