It's a long family tradition to pick our apples at Drew Farms. My toddler loves it.  Well, he loves anything that includes a tractor ride.  They sell root beer, apples, mums, pumpkins, etc.  When we were there this year, the Macintosh, Macoun, and Cortlands were ripe.  I heard the tractor driver say the Golden Delicious weren't quite ripe yet. 

We always follow our trip to Drews with a side jaunt to Kimball Farm, also in Westford.  Although they've really expanded in recent years, to me, the heart of the place is the ice-cream stand.  Can you dare to try the Kimball's Special?  They also have goats and chickens, a country store, mini-golf, regular golf, and a bumper boat ride.  I'll just stick to the ice cream, thank you.
