
Here is a list of items I used with my daughters! You will know when your baby is ready for finger foods when:
- they are interested in small objects
- uses the "pincer grasp" - picks up objects with thumb and forefinger
- and wants to "do things myself"
- Baby cookies, graham crackers, teething biscuits
- O-shaped cereal
- Cooked pasta pieces
- Rice cake pieces
- Soft fruit pieces: banana, canned peaches and pears
- Small cooked veggie pieces: carrots, potatoes, peas
- Grated cheese and apples
