True, there are great museums for kids in the LA area and it can hardly compete with the Museum of Natural History, but the small-sized Arcadia Historical Museum has it own charm.
The museum is located in a beautiful, clean and green area in the city of Arcadia, adjacent to the golf course. The Santa Anita Racetrack and the Westfield Mall-for those who need more entertainment-are close-by. But I think your kids will enjoy the museum. Its collection reflects the rich history of the city. The permanent exhibition consists of artifacts like tools of the Tongva Indians, saddles, a spinning wheel, and so much more.
On certain Saturdays the museum offers Family Fun Days, free activities for the whole family. They range from egg-decorating to ice-cream making. These Family Fun Days are very popular in Arcadia and kids just love them!
The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. This is their address:
