Are you tired of seeing your kid glued to a keyboard and hearing nothing but awful noise? Why don’t you pull out an old-fashioned board game? Who knows, they may like it!

There is a bonus too: a game like Scrabble helps them with their spelling; Monopoly teaches them how to count money; even a strictly fun game like Pictionary will improve their vocabulary and their understanding of expressions.

An extra bonus: if you play these games on a regular basis, for instance every Tuesday evening or Sunday afternoon, you will create quality time for the whole family.

Try it sometime!

Love this tip!! We've been playing board games at least one night a week now for awhile and it's great! Not only is it educational and fun - playing board games teaches kids valuable life lessons.
