Starting as young as six months, your baby is ready to communicate with the world around him! Sign language is a wonderful way to encourage early communication before your baby is developmentally ready to speak. As a special education teacher, I have used sign language as a bridge to speech- and it really does work! American Sign Language, Signed Exact English and "home signs" can be used together to help your little one tell you what he wants- and can certainly cut down on baby frustration!!
