I was watching Good Morning America this morning and they had asked people in Long Island if they were forced to evacuate, what would they grab in ten minutes...One woman was ready in one minute, had all their documents and 'GO' bags prepared for each family member that they kept by the exit.
So I looked up what to put in Go Bags and found this greeat site (though directed for San Fran) for disaster preparedness...thought I'd share in case any of you  were interested in the information. Not that we are likely to have massive fires like CA or anything like that, but hey, doesn't hurt to be prepared for anything and have a family plan in place in case of any type of disaster, minor or major...
