A lot of my friends are deciding to leave their cars home and travel by train. You can relax, avoid traffic jams, as well as paying for tolls and gas. It's also so much cheaper than flying. Traveling by train is fun and easy, too. Amtrak has many nice lines such as the Keystone Service from New York to Philadelphia. A number of the trains have convenient snack cars, cozy roomettes and you can even rent portable devices to watch movies or listen to tunes.

Make your reservation at the Amtrak website using the Fare Finder tool. You can also call an agent at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). If traveling to the City of Brotherly Love, you can easily find a cab at 30th Street Station if you want get to the suburbs of Philly. If you need to get to the Suburban or Market East Stations, save your Amtrak ticket as it gets you a free ride on the SEPTA Rail to these points.
