Are you stuck at home with bored kids on a rainy day?  It's every parent's worst nightmare.  So now you can entertain them in a way they will beg for even when it's not raining.  It's a time to relax and be together.  First off, lay a large, washable blanket on the living room floor.  Cook up plates of chicken nuggets and french fries, enough for everyone.  Slice up some apples and put drinks in cups with straws.  If your kids like ketchup or dips with their nuggets, put them in individual bowls.  Have paper towels or napkins handy.  Now set the platters on the blanket, give each kid a paper towel and a bowl of their favorite dip, and pop in a movie.  You've just created and indoor picnic.  You can vary the food but don't make it anything that is going to be really messy.  My son used to love this and asked for it at least once a week.
