I wanted to give a thoughtful gift to my daughter's preschool teacher as a thank you for a great year, and I came up with the idea of making a scrapbook. The great thing about the project is that it became a class gift from all the kids. I asked the parents to have their child draw a self-portrait, and I collected the pictures and put them into an album that I got at the craft store for under five dollars. I used my scrapbooking supplies to make a title page, where I pasted the class picture and a note saying thank you. It was great to see all the wonderful artwork that the kids made. I also took digital pictures of the whole album and e-mailed them to the parents so that they could see what the album looked like, if they didn't see it in person. My daughter's teacher loved it, and cried when she looked through it. I'm glad we were all able to work together to show how much we appreciated her.
