Bic has put together a nice resource to help us all encourage children in grades 3-5 to practice their writing skills. The "My Story" program's mission is to help your kids "share their stories, foster creativity and encourage their imaginations." The program is aimed at teachers looking to supplementing their curriculum, but the printable resources are free for anyone to download. Writing activities available include:
