I just visited Awakenings Coffee House in Lomita, CA and was so excited to see a separate play area for tots and their coffee loving parents. I was actually there to see a friend perform Improv, but there were parents and their kids just in the next room enjoying a cup of joe with their children in tow. The playroom is geared toward younger children (toddlers/preschoolers) and the restrooms are inside the play area - perfect! Check out their website...they have computers upstairs as well as a stage for entertainers/ performances. They offer their place as a venue for various events.....dont' know....but probably could host a small birthday party in the play room!?? Please call ahead for their hours as I was also just informed that they may only be open for special events and therefore have sporadic hours.
