I know that the last thing you probably want to do is shop right now, but venturing out now will save you time and money next year! Every year, I try to get to the drugstores right after Christmas to snag their cute little stocking stuffers for at least 50% off. As the days go by after Christmas, they will increase the discounts on holiday-themed merchandise to even 80% off. CVS has some great little stocking stuffers, so I hit there first and buy them up for next year. Then I put them in a bag or box with a big label on it - Xmas Stuffing - or something vague that the kids won't understand but I will remember! The key is to remember that you bought them next Christmas so you don't buy more! This yaer I found some really fun stuff like:
- mini notebooks with clips to go on backpacks
- snowmen stationary kits with mini pencil, erasers and stickers
- colorful carabeener clip with jingle bells attached for backpacks
- fun Christmas-themed pens with sparkles and lights
- mini wind up train sets
- cute stickers
- Chapstick "candy canes"
- holiday print tissue packs for backpacks
- fun red, white & green barrette and scrunchy hair sets
