My son recently received the book, "On the Night You Were Born," by Nancy Tillman for Christmas and I would like to recommend it. The art work in this book is really colorful and beautifully done. It also includes a psalm on the inside page that offers a nice sentiment.

The story impresses that each child is unique and that no two are alike, but it is done in wording that is appropriate for young children. My 9 month old likes it  just for the pictures, but is a little too young to follow the idea of the story. My 2 1/2 year old nephew likes it as well and can sit through the entire book so obviously as children get older they will get more out of it.

I especially like this book because of the point it tries to express-that all kids are different and that that is okay. Its nice to have a little variety in terms of the books that you are reading to your children and I feel that this book has so many things that are attractive about it that kids will keep it for years and get something different out of it each time they read it.
