Avoiding Overstuffing at the Buffet
Ages:
K-5th Grade
By:Cynthia J.

My young daughters think pizza is the best food ever. So we frequented many pizza buffets. I am conscious about wastefulness,  and it bothers me when my childen pile on more pizza than they actually eat. Although the meal is paid, and the cost is calculated in the price of the buffet, I think about the money  and food wasted when the children leave the table to go play in the (most often available) game rooms. I find most pizza buffet operations also offer a large pizza around $6.00 (we have cheese only). And they don't seem to mind you eating there at the establishment, with notification. This helps to avoid over-eating by everyone. The childen enjoy not only the pizza (which a couple slices is all they need), but also taking advantage of the game room. Face it, the game room is probably the biggest money-maker and most exciting of the entire experience. Great money-saver, and  provided one is honest enough not to hit the desserts on the buffet. Ice cream from McDonalds is offered later on the trip, which provides more fun in the children's play area.
