Make cards with sight words that your child needs to learn. The game works best with at least 25 cards, but it is OK to have duplicates. Deal all cards out to the players, face down. No one should look at his or her cards. Choose one word to be the "slap" word. Players take turns turning over one card at a time to put on a central pile. When the chosen word comes up, the first player to recognize it, slap it and read it gets to keep all of the cards in the central pile. The first player holding all cards wins the game.
