GroupOf is a great, new site for keeping in touch with friends, family, classmates, or neighbors. Users can set up a private group to organize events (e.g. class reunions, family reunions, playgroups), share photos, and communicate with each other.

There are a bunch of sites that do something similar, but for the most part, they either charge a fee, list member information publicly, or don't let members reach each other directly (i.e. you cannot post your email address for friends to contact you)

GroupOf is free, private, and encourages group-communication. You can only use GroupOf if you are a registered user, but they have a public page you can check out at www.groupof.com/tour/start.

Many groups at GroupOf have hundreds of members who are all added to the group in advance (high school classes, neighborhood groups etc.), so the staff is ready to hold your hand through the process of creating your group.

If you want to join GroupOf, click through the tour (www.groupof.com/tour/start) and complete the sign-up form at the end. A staffer will contact you shortly thereafter to help you set up your group.
