I just got a note from our school nurse who was excited to let us know that our elementary school has avoided a lice outbreak this year.  (Hooray!  Little victories, right?).  Anyway - to keep this streak going, she recommended a product made by Fairy Tales Hair Care called Lice Good-Bye that acts as a natural deterrent to lice and other insects.  It has a unique blend of pure rosemary oils, lavender and tea tree extracts

The products are all natural, organic hair care for children. The line includes a mousse that helps remove lice & nits from hair, a lice & nit comb, and a Rosemary Repel system.

I haven't tried the product myself, but I figured if it was recommended by the school nurse, it must have some credence.
