You may have read or heard the latest concerns about BPA chemicals in plastic.  I have attatched a link for an article on WebMd.  I have done some research and everything I have read has had the same tone “there is a problem, we just don’t know how big a problem”.  Because most children’s bottles, teething rings, formula containers, juice boxes all have the chemical BPA in them, this is very concerning too me.  One of the first things that you are supposed to do when you buy baby bottles is sanitize them by placing them in boiling water, this is also the easiest way of releasing the BPA’s in the bottle which then leech into the liquid.  Again, they have not been able to agree on the magnitude of this issue on our children’s health but the simple fact that we are exposing our children to chemicals that should not be there is alarming enough.

Thanks for posting info on BPA! New studies have shown it to affect children even at very low doses. You can read more about the latest government discussion on whether or not it's toxic at http://thesoftlanding.wordpress.com/2008/10/23/did-the-plastics-industry-prepare-the-fda-draft-on-bpa-safety/.
