Harvard's most visited museum, a favorite for families. Our favorites are the hundreds of stuffed animals, and the hall of paleontology, with the world's only mounted Kronosaurus, a 42 foot long marine reptile with huge teeth, also the first triceratops. The mineral galleries are extraordinary, with meteorites from outer space, and a huge amethyst geode, 1,642 pounds.

Be sure to see the new multi-media exhibition on Arthropods: Creatures that Rule. (Creatures with exoskeletons --insects, centipedes, crustaceans, etc. are 80% of the species on the planet).  More on changing exhibitions, classes and programs at www.hmnh.harvard.edu.
