Getting Cats off Your Property

Do you hate having cats camping out on your property and calling it home?  I have that problem and I am not trying to be a mean person but my neighbors let their cats roam the neighborhood for days and for some reason they like my front lawn vs. others and camp out there.  It drives my poor dogs nuts and the cats also use my lawn as a litter box!  So that is the last straw for me since I don't let my dogs roam off leash out of respect for the neighbors.

I searched for an all natural solution to keep them off my lawn and b/c I have kids and dogs, I didn't want to use chemicals.  Turns out that left over ground coffee works is and great for mixing in with your mulch b/c the cats hate the smell and it also turns into a great fertilizer too.  This is great since I have coffee every morning so I save the grounds now and I sprinkled some on my mulch around the mailbox to start and so far I have not seen my neighbor's cats camping out there.  I plan to sprinkle it all over the rest of the mulch on my front yard.  I also hear citurus peels work too.

I don't like cats. I hate their smells and the dirtiness they bring. There are cats everywhere around us. I hate it so bad. They use our yard as there bathroom. We have to open our windows that stuff comes in and makes our house smell if we had cats. Thank you for the tips I will really try them. God bless you all.

Thanks ...we have the same problem with our neighbor's cats hanging around, stinking up our yard and contributing to our dogs incessant barking....we'll try this!

Our cat hates the smell of oranges. So, citrus would likely be effective. Too bad there's not a remedy for our neighbors who allow their dogs to spend time outside at all hours of the night and bark incessantly!

Or you could just pack up your cats and send them to me! I believe one can never have too many cats--but I guess that's just my opinion!! I would be a crazy old cat lady if my husband let me!
