Do your kids love inventing new contraptions and learning by doing? Do they enjoy taking things apart? Check out Camp Invention for grades 1-6. Camp Invention (and Club Invention) are camp programs designed by Invent Now Kids (a subsidiary of the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation) and run by teachers/educators in local towns all across the country. Check here to find a location near you.
Typically, the registrations are through town Park & Rec or Community Ed departments. Hours of the programs tend to be from 9am to 3:30pm but vary by location. Costs vary by town as well, but tend to be about $225-274/week. The average staff-to-child ratio is 1:8!
Early birds can get some discounts - If you register online before May 31st, you receive $5 off the base price. And if you register your child and a friend at the same time by phone or mail you will receive $20 off the base price. Even more multiple discounts are available at the website.
