I just heard of this program last week and was surprised to learn that they operate right here in Southern California - shoulda known! Anyway, Yoga Buddies offers various programs including after-school enrichments at select schools, summer programs as well as private classes including birthday parties. The classes are designed to teach breathing techniques, yoga poses and relaxation exercises to children. They even have a preschool Yoga Buddies Jr class specifically for your 3-5yr old. I actually heard about these classes on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and decided to check it out because Kelly was raving about how relaxed her kids were afterwards. Their site also features a "Pose of the Week" as well as their CD for sale. I think this is a great concept for kids to learn now and incorporate into their lives.....after all....our busy schedules and activites lend little time to relax and breath!
