I've been so busy with life in general that I sometimes forget to STOP and smell the roses. This week I did and finally updated our "baby books". I know, my kids are hardly little tikes now, but I keep writing in their little books since birth, writing them letters every birthday milestone. Yesterday I wrote each girl a letter about what they are up to at this point in time. I looked back at the book and I was overcome with such joy and surprise by how fast my little ones are growing AND the joy to read other letters I've written to them. It takes 5 minutes to update and a treasure for the future. Comments
Love this idea. I do the same thing on my children's birthdays and for special events. My two youngest, who are 12 and 15, each have a book of letters from me. I started this because I lost my mother as a teen, and never wanted my children to go through their lives not knowing how much I treasure them.
