Am I behind the times, or are Nursing Necklaces something new? I just found out about these necklaces, of many different styles, which are intended for nursing moms to wear. The idea is that babies often grab at hair, earrings and necklaces while nursing (yes, I recall!) which hurt or break. These necklaces are meant to endure baby's pulling without breaking, while also looking pretty for Mommy to wear and giving baby something safe to play with while nursing or sitting on Mom's lap. I am not giving you a website, because if you google nursing necklace, you will get so many wonderful choices, I didn't want to limit you. As a mom who nursed twins (yes, until they were almost 2 years old!) I can tell you I would have loved to recieve one of these for a baby gift.
