Something to Do When Waiting With Kids
Ages:
General Interest
By:jesmom

When we are waiting at restaurants, doctor's offices, etc., we play lots of the same games as you probably do, but my son invented a fun game that you might like. It's called "two minutes" and it is similar to twenty questions. One player thinks of a person, and the other has exactly two minutes to shoot as many yes or no questions as possible and get the answers. This is usually enough time to guess the person. It is more fun than twenty questions, and it is easier for kids, because you get to ask lots more questions.

We've used this one at our afterschool site often and the kids love the challenge. As a group you try to count to 10. Sound easy? The trick is for only one person to say the next number. If more than one say it at the same time then the group has to start counting all over again!

Great idea... I used it in my classroom for review the day before we were going to have a quiz. Each student had to come up with 10 yes or no questions and those that were paying attention usually got their questions answered before it was even their turn!
