It's a very hot & humid day today and my kids still wanted to go outside for a bit.  Our sand/water table is full of play sand and I was not about to dump it all out to fill it with water knowing that my kids would want to be inside after 20 mins. in the heat.  I remembered a friend of mine used a regular rectangle shape plastic storage box on her patio and used that as her water table.  So I did the same thing, placed it on the floor of my deck on a towel, filled it with water, tub toys, pool Barbies and soap. I told my kids to sit on a towel and wash their toys.  We have a canopy covering our deck and voila, instant water table without the fuss and I saved myself a lot of time.
