Located in deep South Austin, the Texican Cafe is that perfect gem of a neighborhood spot - filled with families, but a proper restaurant destination. They call their food "Santa Fe meets El Paso meets Austin" and that sums it up - Tex-Mex with a broader regional focus. Their extensive menu is full of traditional offerings including quesadillas (the spinach and mushroom quesadilla is fantastic) and fajitas, as well as unique dishes such as cabrito, slow cooked kid goat that melts in your mouth. The kids menu includes ;bean and cheese burritos, enchilada with rice and beans, crispy or soft tacos, and quesadillas. This place is consistently delicious, and a great family destination.
