Greenwoods is one of my all time favorite restaurants.  Located in an original log cabin on a small side street in this northern suburb, this small restaurant offers the freshest cooking in town.  All dishes are made to order from the freshest ingredients available that day.The fried chicken is to die for and the roast duck is undoubtably the best in the city.  The daily menu of fresh fish is as fresh as can be and changes daily depending upon availability.  The portions are huge! and the prices are reasonable.  Greenwoods does not accept credit cards but will accept a local check and of course cash is always welcome. The pies are absolutely the best in town and one slice is 1/4 of a pie so it can easily shared. The ice cream is home made and also large enough to share.  The dress is very casual and there is a waiting/ dining area outside on the patio and herb garden.  They have a very limited beer and wine menu and do not serve liquor.  This restaurant is suitable for all ages and bring your appetite.  Always inquire about the specials and don't fill up on the corn muffins.  Try this place once and you will become a fan for life.  Because all meals are prepared fresh, waiting times are a little longer than you may be accustomed to.  Greenwoods does not accept reservations.
