Broken Lightbulb

A frustrating problem I have run into is removing a broken lightbulb that is still in the socket.

In order to remove the lightbulb without electrocuting yourself simply cut a potato in half, jam the white part of the potato onto the broken remains of the lightbulb, and twist it out of the socket.

Great idea. One additional thought - sometimes if the bulb is in there too tight or there is not enough left of the remaining broken bulb, it may be tough to twist out, in which case, I've used a pair of pliers to carefully grab the metal part of the bulb base. Just make sure the power is turned off before trying this!!!
