I had company come over unexpected and needed an appetizer in a hurry. This worked well for me and is so easy to make-the guests loved it! Soften 1 brick of cream cheese and add in chopped sun dried tomatoes, basil (fresh is best but dried will work well too), a touch of olive oil, and salt and pepper. Spread the mixture on appetizer sized breads and serve. You likely have all of these ingredients in the house-you can keep sun dried tomatoes in the pantry or refridgerator, basil with the herbs, and the breads in the freezer. It will look like you fussed and the guests will love these! Enjoy! Comments
Elissa makes a similar recipe, but a little easier. One brick of softened cream cheese and pesto to taste. It is really yummy with bagel crisps, or on breads like baguette.
