Have you ever arrived at your campsite and didn't know what to do with the kids while you were setting up the tent/camper? How about root chalking? Have the kids take their sidewalk chalk and "paint" all the roots from trees and rocks that stick up and pose a tripping hazard at the campsite. It doesn't hurt the trees and washes off in the rain. This activity occupies their time while you set up camp and alerts everyone to the tripping hazards at the site. At night, you will be able to see the colorful roots better so there's no tripping on the way to and from the campfire to restock the s'mores supply! Enjoy and safe camping!
