Look What I Made is an indoor playspace for kids (located in Long Beach, CA) that offers creative art activities for kids of all ages - although I think the targeted age is preschool - elementary. We were just introduced to this place this week...and my daughter is already begging to go back.
The place is set up with various art stations and kids are allowed to create as many projects as they want from the designated stations. There is also a small "free play" space that allows for dramatic play and peer interaction.
There is no need to make an appt as this is a drop-in play center open M-F with Saturdays reserved for parties. First timers pay about $13 and repeat sessions are $15. They also offer a frequent visitor card but I don't remember the cost.
Although I thought most of the projects could easily be repeated at home, I think the peer interaction, cute environment and ability to leave the mess there... were all worth it! Additionally, they offer coffee, teas, treats and a small library to us parents. By the way.....I also loved the parent interaction!
