In case you hadn't heard, Gatorland, one of Orlando's oldest theme parks, has more than just alligators and crocodiles. This fantastic 10-acre sanctuary also offers an incredible opportunity for bird watching. You can walk along a boardwalk canopied by a jungle of cypress trees that host nesting cormorants, anhingas and great blue herons. The birds are used to people so they perch in the trees often times at eye level. This sanctuary hosts nine different species of nesting wading birds, including black-crowned night-herons, and white ibises, not to mention migratory species that appear in the fall, so a visit over the next few months would be perfect. And of course you've got to see the pink flamingoes. If you go to their website you can get a $3.00 discount by purchasing on line. This is a great bargain for $12.00.,
