I was looking for a convenient hotel for my family when we were visiting Washington, DC.  I  found the Old Town Alexandria Hilton to fit the bill for convenience and value.  The hotel is just 2 stops on the Metro from Reagan Airport and the Metro stop is literally steps away from the hotel front door.  It is so  easy to get anywhere in Washington on the Metro so we didn't need a car.  You can just walk down King Street to many resturaunts that the kids will enjoy.  It made our vacation easy and stress free.  Nice when you have the family along.  Nice pool to cool off in after a hot day site-seeing.
