What can be more fun for your young kids than a game of tag where they get to play dress-up and pull the tails off of each other!? Recently I found this adorable set of 4 tails that come with little belts and detachable tails. My sons and their friends love putting the monkey, zebra, lion and tiger tails on and chase each other around the backyard. We've added a couple different elements to the game, such as the homemade masks that the kids made to represent each of the four animals. We've also changed the basic rules to tag...Besides just chasing each other around I've had the kids crawl, hop, walk backwards and also make noises like their animals. I've also used the tails to tell stories and the kids got to act out my stories. For instance, we acted out the "Three little animals" a take-off of "The three little pigs", where three of the animals each built themselves a different kind of house and the 4th animal was like the big bad wolf. Of course the story always ended up with a quick chase and pulling of tails! This is a great activity for a party, play date, etc. You could also make your own tails using a belt, scotch tape and some paper to make your tails. Comments
This sounds like so much fun! Do you think I could get my teen and pre-teens to do it?? Oh, well.....
